Lisa Da Massa is a first-generation Italian American born in California of parents who immigrated from Tuscany. Lisa father's family came first in the 50s settling in Northern California. On a trip back to visit, her father met and married her mother who was from the next tiny village outside of Lucca. It's from her close relationship to her Italian family that Lisa learned to love the food, the culture and the history as well as developing a strong sense of family and pride in her heritage. Lisa lives in the Beaverton area and has worked for Cambia Health Solutions, a non-profit health care company, for 17 years. On her off-time Lisa can be found walking her neighborhood, enjoying her backyard where there are tomatoes and zucchini growing every year or spending time with friends and family in the Portland and Vancouver area. And of course, traveling to Italy to visit family.
